Display quite "sticky" (slow refresh)

Hi Community!

At the moment I'm having 2 MK3 printers (one at home, one at work). I noticed that the one at work has a very sticky Display while the one at home is super responsive.

With the sticky display it feels like it needs double time to turn on / off it's pixels. It's kind of hard to go through the menus and hard to read scrolling text. I wonder if  anyone else has this experience and maybe knows a fix for this?

Is it much colder at work? LCD displays can be quite temperature sensitive and slow if the ambient temperature is colder.

Hi vintage, no it's nice and cozy at work. 🙂 But yeah, a very cold LCD is a pretty good analogy to how the sticky one behaves.

I would contact Support. Click EShop above, log in, and a Chat button should show up in lower right after a bit.

Have a short video to give them of the sticky one.

Unfortunately the LCD is somewhat sensitive to static discharge which can manifest with all kinds of symptoms. Support is probably a good bet if you're still under warranty. Outside of that, if you're comfortable with a soldering iron it's not hard to replace the 20x4 module yourself... I did just that when my first one succumbed...
