Change location of initial stipe of filament

Following bed level detection the first thing that gets printed is the initial stripe of filament at the bottom left of the print bed. Then the printer moves on to the real print job. I have noticed that over time this stripe is getting harder and harder to remove, it seems to be wearing that one spot on the PETG surface and it is not so non-stick any more. No problems removing the print other than this.

Can you change the location of this initial filament stripe?

The prime line is coded in the startup gcode under Printer Settings. You can change it any number of ways. Alternately, you can wipe your fingers over the stripe area regularly, apply some gluestick or a strip of blue painter's tape. Another thing I've found has helped considerably is to raise the nozzle further off the PEI surface as the nozzle heats up. This avoids the little divot forming under the nozzle which is where most of the filament embeds. Again, you can do this in the startup gcode. I've got some notes and examples on gcode here.
