Broken hot end wire

I have an MK3 that has a broken wire that I think is a thermistor wire. My print didn't stick and the resin encapsulated a portion of the hot end. After I removed one of the larger and still soft pieces of resin (PLA) I noticed a wire was broken.

It is my understanding this is a thermistor wire however I cant seem to find a replacement on the prusa site. I do see a Super PINDA which seems like it might be a replacement but I would like to be certain this is the right thing to buy. This PINDA seems to be an upgrade but there is a lot of information about it. Also, while I am doing this should I replace the heater block or any other items while in the process.

Regards all and thank you in advance,

Greg

Looks like you need a new heat cartridge as well, looking at the abrasion to the insulation on it.

As E3D supplies Prusa the parts for the MK3 hotend (an E3D V6) the spare parts are also available from them.  They even have a specific Prusa spares  category https://e3d-online.com/pages/prusa-spares

While you can pick up compatible parts on all the usual places at least with E3d you know you are getting genuine parts.  Pick up some silicone socks while you are at it.  They make the consequences of a blob less dire.

Cross check here:

Thermistors appear to be one of those things held up in the supply chain...

I suggest you contact Prusa Support: Log into your Eshop account, navigate to support and live chat is at bottom right in most browsers. If not you may need to disable your ad-blocker temporarily.

Cheerio,
