Autolevel strange behavior

I have an mk3s with the latest firmware (3.9.0), although my "problem" started several months ago.  When the autolevel runs (7x7) on "rows" 2,4,and 6 it appears to be "re-seeking" by raising the extruder up and then finds the bed. It doesn't seem to be affecting the leveling, but it's curious.

Just wonder if anyone else has noticed this. I'm about ready to give the build plate a good cleaning to see if that helps.

RE: Autolevel strange behavior

My two Mk3S's both do this. It never seems to cause any issues. I've always assumed it is related to the bed magnets placement.

RE: Autolevel strange behavior

It's normal and was implemented as a fix to a problem with the fast probing introduced with the 7x7 mesh bed leveling feature. The rapid probes can interact with resonant vibrations, causing bad readings. The original behavior was to force a Z recalibration, which was frustrating. This is a "pause and try again" improvement. Make sure your printer is on a solid surface, and that there's nothing under the sheet that might throw things off. Otherwise, it's working normally and you only need to worry if it can't complete.
