Any good technique on how to adjust the x belt tension?

Hi, I have spent four hours trying to get X near 275 without success. With the i3MK3S to i3MK3S+ upgrade include the Y-axis, usually I got around 240. One time I got around 250 but when I tightened the screws at the back of the extruder and the X-axis motors, the value dropped. So, it is either around 240 or with the following error:

Selftest error!

Please check: Axis length

Any good way to get around 275?

Change how you are looking at this.  Download and print the belt tension gauge from prusa - this is the best way IMO for getting a comparable belt reading.

Thanks. So it tells whether the belt is within range or not. How do I tighten or loosen it? Followed the guide by Prusa but did not work.
