3.9.0 on i3mk3
suggested to update fw by printer startup. Cannot see special version for original mk3 so trying mk3S version.
apart from reporting the different fw so far printing test cube OK. Issues ???
Is there a version for mk3 that is different from mk3S ?

Yes the mk3, non s has a different hex file as the filament sensor is different. https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases Scroll down and you will see it in the list.

I got delayed, tried the s version since only filament sensor was supposed to be different...
Printer let me know, but when I accepted it ran without issue...good print!
Looking back here I gratefully found your note and the list, downloaded the hex and tried a fw burn,
error message wrong printer....the s version had changed printer to a chimera of the two,
It reset to old name by itself and allowed a subsequent load without problems.....
