Whats with this loud beep?!?
I just upgraded the firmware of my MK3 to 3_7_2. Now when I switch it off I get an ear shattering beep. I looked at the menu and I found a setting for sound which I put to mute. No effect whatsoever! Switch off an a LOUD beep. I know I'm switching the bl**dy thing off why the heck do I need a loud beep. Its annoying. Does any know how to stop this blasted beeping?

I have not yet done the upgrade to 3.7.2 firmware but I understand that the "BEEP" comes from an assumed power fail. Bug in the code.
That's why I am waiting for an update.

Ditto -- one more example of Prusa not regression testing their firmware before releasing it to the general population.

Yes, I too would like to know why this is so. Only happens on my MK3S with the black Delta power supply, not on any other of my MK3S's with the silver power supplies. All running on 3_7_2 firmware.

I was wondering why I didn't seem to have this beep effect that others were complaining about. My MK3S is a MK3 from the end of last year/beginning of this year with the older silver power supply. No beep when turning off on my printer.

Sorry guys, but my MK3SMMU2S is running a Meanwell RSP-320-24 PSU with the original power panic in the IEC type mains socket, so I don't think the problem is only associated with the newer black PSUs.
I am just about to start the pre-flight checks on my MK2.5S to MK3S upgrade, using another RSP-320-24, and a power panic copy I found on Ebay. I will report back here later today to say whether that beeps on shutdown too.

I have contacted support and they have informed that it is a software bug and that it will be rectified in the next upcoming firmware update 3.8.0 release. I have the new power supply (Black PSU).

Unfortunately the power panic copy from Ebay has disabled the bed heater, so the printer failed during initial self testing.
Having disconnected the Power panic connector from the Einsy board, the printer now passes the self testing and other calibrations and is working just fine.
I'll have to dive in sometime and see what the problem is, but not right now!

Thanks very much david.a66, you hit it on the nail. My newly upgraded MK3S now beeps on shutdown also.
