IM new to the Prusa community, and just bought a MK3s, and came across this item on another post and was wondering what it was.
Any help would be appreciated.

That is a Filament Buffer for an MMU2S
It absorbs the spare filament during filament changes, to prevent the filament derailing on the spool

It is included when you purchase an MMU2S from Prusa. You really just need one when you have that upgrade anyway.
Many have their own custom solutions instead of that buffer though, its a bit a matter of taste though.
