What exactly is the warranty on a Prusa i3 MK3 Assembled printer?

I looked around the site, and I see the word show up, and I hear it mentioned, and people say "Replaced under warranty', etc, etc, but I cannot find what the warranty is defined ANYWHERE. There has to be what it is exactly written down somewhere yes?

I assume PRUSA is bound by EU law.

From europa.eu https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/shopping/guarantees-returns/index_en.htm

Free of charge, 2-year guarantee (legal guarantee) for all goods

Under EU rules you always have the right to a minimum 2-year guarantee at no cost, regardless of whether you bought your goods online, in a shop or by mail order.

This 2-year guarantee is your minimum right. National rules in your country may give you extra protection: however, any deviation from EU rules must always be in the consumer's best interest.

If goods you bought anywhere in the EU turn out to be faulty or do not look or work as advertised, the seller must repair or replace them free of charge or give you a price reduction or a full refund.

As a general rule, you will only be able to ask for a partial or full refund when it is not possible to repair or replace the goods.

In chat for my MK2 I was told 2 years on parts. I had a defective P.I.N.D.A on that machine when I got it.

Just hit up the support via online chat, thats the fastest way.

They immidiatly help you out, free off charge if you have a preassembled one.
I had several problems where they sent me the replacement parts for free.

Pretty good customer support.

Agreed the Online Chat support is awesome. sadly I am still waiting on word back about the PSU going out on this pre-assembled and tested unit. At least I ordered a spare PSU...

How did your PSU die? Mine just died this morning. No smoke or blown components from what I can tell. Just blew the fuse and won't power up after replacing said fuse.

Mine died the same way, looks like others are putting a fan on it, I personally bought the meanwell LRS-350 and my replacement has been sitting as backup.

Blew the fuse and tripped the breaker. No other damage it seems. Got a replacement and doing well now.

BTW, many American credit cards will extend a warranty as well, check the fine print of the card you used to purchase the printer.

Prusa is located in Prague in the Czech Republic which is part of the European Union and thus they fall under EU law. This means that they should have a 2 year warranty policy.

Still there is a distinction between kits and pre-assembled. Pre-assembled printers are covered under full warranty whilst kits are covered under parts only warranty. (Directly visible on the Prusa site: https://www.prusa3d.com/ )

For further info, you should probably contact Prusa Research: INFO@PRUSA3D.COM
