Well don't I feel stupid! LOL. Should've looked under that little "show more" button, answer was right there. Thanks Randolph.

scale 100% on the whole mesh is a pain now. just having scale by % would be cool (typeable)
so would control Z 😀

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Every field should accept keyboard input. If anybody is familiar with Affinity Designer & Photo, they are relatively new apps that are taking on the big-name players like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop at a fraction of the price. One of the really great features is that you can use the traditional mouse and sliders for entering settings, but every field can also be typed in directly. This allows neat things like doing math on input fields much like a spreadsheet. I'd really like to be able to adjust my layer height to be something like nozzle_size * 0.8 and allow a single profile to be used with any nozzle size, for example.

Select the object and then click twice on "default" to get to the extruder list.

We plan another alpha today, with the most offensive bugs fixed.

That's great news! I really like the new interface and the on-the-fly times. It will be nice to have a more usable version to play with.

Maybe I'm just not seeing it but the right-click "Scale" option is no longer there. As far as I can tell, the only way to uniformly scale an object is to adjust scale percentage in each axis. Besides the added convenience of a single uniform scale field, it eliminates the occasional fat-finger error... like what just happened to me... again. entered in 125% for X, 125 for Y and 152 for Z.

Otherwise, I love the release. Great job!

> perhaps there could be a dialog box if you slice a print when the color print has been on ... it could say something like
"color print has been activated for this file and a pause and filament change will be enforced at 7.8mm, 19.0 mm and 28.8mm z heights when it is printed (or whatever the software has decreed) with yes accept, or disable filament change for this file.

I am not sure whether you want to be bugged by such a dialog. We will likely highlight the color spans at the slider, so it will be more obvoious to you that you did some major change to the project. Let's see whether that will help.

> Maybe another suggestion: if i hit "Slice now" maybe it would be nice if program interface would switch to "preview" mode by itself. I guess that when a (wo)man hits slice he(she) wants to check out the result.

The button to switch to the preview starts the slicing, so you have an option to switch and slice in a single shot.

One of my favorite feature of Slic3er PE is purge into infill (or object). IMHO this feature is way to hidden.

WOW. This is truly amazing. I wish I had this a while ago. Adding the time to print to model names is worth upgrading alone. Also, the many new features make it indispensable. When is the full release version coming out? I can't wait.

This is an old thread. The pre-release is already on it's second beta (labeled beta 1 as the first beta wasn't numbered so must be beta 0) after 7 alphas. See here for the most recent releases: https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/releases
