Print Settings / Layers and perimeters / Quality (slower slicing) / Detect thin walls: CHECKED

Cool thanks 🙂

No problem, happy to help! CHECKED is actually the default but the Prusa profile un-defaults it, possibly for speed of slice reasons, which makes no sense since slicing is multicore, ahh but I digress... :geek:

It makes a hole between part and modifier.
Prt have no holes, with mdfr I tried to make honeycomb net.

After a dozen or so frustrating prints, I submit that the profiles (at least the generic PETG one) is too aggressive. The temperatures seem too high, and my eSun golden PETG filament is literally burnt black in places.

How do I specify an inside brim on a part? for an example think of a doughnut shape the doughnut is basically hollow and donut has lost about 25% of its bottom so you have an inner circle that has little connection to the bed the outer edge has a nice brim when it is selected...

there are times when an inner brim would mean less post processing for more than a few parts . Am I missing something obvious?

It makes a hole between part and modifier.
Prt have no holes, with mdfr I tried to make honeycomb net.

I tried everything. It just doing slits between modificator perimeters and between modfctr and main part. Even with 400% perimeters it moves apart perimeters till slits happen. Size compensation or any manipulations with perimeters, infill or other doesnt work.

Modificators dont work.

As you can see, walls of main part is OK and walls of modfctr is with slits.

Re: Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.41.1-FINAL

I am having a problem with this version.
First I need to say that I just started using Slic3r PE for 2 weeks, so still unexperienced. (I was an S3d addict, but am very disappointed in their latest update)

Before I used the 1.40 version, and it worked.
So I gave it a run to use this latest 1.41.1 version.

When I put an stl on the plater that has more then 1 objects, in the old version I was able to split them and get multiple parts. That way I could work with the parts I want.
Doing it the same way in this final 1.41.1 version.......... I get nothing and Slic3r shuts down on my computer.

I don't get it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Slicer3D has an advanced feature: Layer modifications >> Start printing at height (in mm).
Does Slicer3r PE have a similar feature?
Only thing I can see is Printer settings>> Z-offset that might work. But that is more like a calibration fix than a print setting.
Any other ways?
If you curious why, I'm am trying this interesting technique:

EDIT: Topic moved to How do I print this?

Check out ColorPrint. You basically want the printer to stop and let you change filament at specific heights.

Rather than tacking your question on to an existing thread, you'll likely to get far more responses if you start a new thread with a related subject line.

Thanks, misunderstood this forums' file structure. Will create post and answer there.
