Re: Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.40.1 - FINAL

Did mange to get a sample to work, and yes only modeled the txt at 0.2mm in height in fusion, but it came out pretty nice, considering I'm and novice only had my Prusa i3 MK3 for 2 weeks odd..

Pete.

I've done a lot of work modeling text and graphics in Fusion360. I've learned that you always need to be very aware of how small your features are, since it's very easy to build a model with lines too small to print.

Fusion's "Measure" command (under the "Inspect menu, with the hotkey "I") is very handy in this respect. You can select two lines or faces and it will tell you the exact distance between them. I use this constantly, and any time I see something smaller than my extrusion width I go back and fix it right away.

If you're working with a designer, it also helps to tell them right up front that you can't print anything thinner than a 0.5mm line. This saves a lot of grief later on.

Trying the new 1.41 release with a sequential print. I have to scale the parts very small before it will allow the stl file to be created. Original sizes are 36mm tall. This is the Russian Doll Maze items from Thingverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2410748 .
Size as shown in image won't export. This is scaled at %30.

I am very impressed with this product. I made my first print last night and it worked effortlessly.
