Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Yep, mine was due to ship this week and now it's not and what makes it worse is that no news from Mr. Prusa 🙁
At least he could make a post saying what the delay is.

You are the Dennis just a couple of rows just above me, right? I tried filling in dates in your cells, and you are of course entirely correct, it doesn't work. Which is strange since the cells above and below yours work. o_O

It must be some data validation bug in the spreadsheet. I re-copied over the cells from the empty cells above, and now it works.

He is very busy but something about the delays and problems popping up all over the internet makes me think there is something wrong with production or parts.

I’d love to hear whats going on as well though. I don't even mind if its bad news, Id just like to know.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Please keep in mind the following:

* People can enter wrong dates into the spreadsheet.
* People can misunderstand what different emails or Prusa support tell them.
* People can be trolls.

We have a lot of people editing the spreadsheet, statistically we're gonna have errors. Please don't use the spreadsheet as an argument that PR are doing things wrong until we have clear confirmation. And no, Corey, I won't consider it confirmed until you actually have your printer delivered. ^_^

Can we say confirmed now? Ordered 10/28 and finally received today

Unfortunately I can't push the highlighting forward on the Orders list until Rows 129&130 are unlocked :(. Hopefully Adam can respond soonish 😮

tagging adam as well:

I’ve thrown together a quick google sheet, and you should all be able to edit it.

I moved things around, the offending rows are now down around row #600.

I'm glad you moved them, but unfortunately that doesn't help. I'm still having issues moving most rows as they are using the same conditional formatting as Sonic's rows. Trying to edit any of the conditional formatting rules I get "There was a problem You are trying to edit a protected cell or object. Please contact the spreadsheet owner to remove protection if you need to edit." because the rules cross Sonic's rows.

Still waiting for those two rows to be unlocked before I can push the highlighting for this week.

Until those rows are unlocked I basically can't work on the Orders sheet because I get errors that force me to reload.

Did you savagely tear into the box and start in on it, or stare and toy with the box like a feline does before killing its prey?

I don't know, that kinda looks like someone took an mk2 box and put an mk3 sticker on it. 😉
Congratulations, man. 😀

Can we change the ranges for the highlighting etc. from G2:G to G2:G590 or something? Wouldnt that at least temporarily solve the issue?

No, you cannot change any rules which involve the locked rows.

However, since you were kind enough to move Sonic's rows to the bottom, I just completely remade the conditional formatting rules. I cannot delete or change the old ones, but I can override them because the highest rule takes priority. This means we have twice as many formatting rules now, and the old ones are non-functional as they are being overridden, and likely take more computational power each time a cell is changed (checking if a rule applies to each cell, and if so, updating that cell), but it works regardless.

Annoying, I still cannot make column wide changes which are handy for conforming formatting and validation, but I can still select all the cells individually (Shift+Click of course) and update them that way. It was more annoying when Sonic's rows were right in the middle which required twice as much work ensuring the rows before and after his were updated.

I do not mind the extra wait if I knew why, actually I hope it's because of all the problems people are having with the power supply and they got a new power supply coming in.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I watched the latest video from Makers Muse last night regarding failed kickstarter printers and it made me really appreciate everything that Josef put together, regardless of the lack of communication and bugs.

There are a ton of companies, one taking over 1.6 million USD, to produce printers, that never shipped. Several companies had an idea, funded a prototype, and just failed miserably when it came to production. There are a ton of parts in these machines and Josef is really pushing technology to the next level here. Hiccups with part sourcing on this level can be expected.

At the end of the day, Josef is still jumping over hurdles and delivering a top notch quality printer that is raising the bar. Please be patient everyone and know that when your printer gets here you will be getting an excellent device with great customer service to back you.

The official information is on the Order History page on the PR website.

The unofficial chart is here on Google Sheets. You may be particularly interested in the other tabs at the bottom left.
