Servo Damage ?

I am thinking of buying an i3 - I have been using the EasyThreed Nano which, as a starter printer has been excellent. However, it allowed itself to drive the Z servo into the bed and is no longer working.....Not sure how that happened.

Are there safeguards on the Prusa printer to stop the servos from damaging themselves?

RE: Servo Damage ?

Hi,

The only thing I'm aware of is the software zero you get when setting the nozzle height for a sheet. There is no physical stop to prevent a hard crash. But this is no different than a $100,000 plus machining center either.
