Prusa Filament; still happening?
There was some chatter a while back on FB and Twitter about Prusa gearing up to sell an In-house produced filament. I thought it was projected to start selling by the end of last month... anyone know what’s happening on that front?

Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
In the recent interview with Tom, they discussed these offerings. JP was very careful to say they're not going to talk too much about it before they're 100% ready based so as to manage expectations. So yes, it's still happening. We won't know much about it before Prusa decide they are ready.
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
He also mentioned in the video that they are already shipping it out in some of the new printers going out or I believe some of the silver is made in house im not sure if they are doing the newer colors yet.
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
Yea, I hope it hits general availability before that voucher from the survey expires.

Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
FWIW I was chatting to support over the weekend as the silver that came with my printer, half into the roll, started varying up to 2.1mm, ruining a print and jamming the extruder.
He said I had old stuff from Plasty Mladek and that they have their own lines now. There's a replacement roll on it's way to me, so I will take a look at that closely when it turns up.
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
Old Prusa filament (left) not made in-house, New Prusa filament (right), which I believe was made in-house. New one is a lighter colour.
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
Problem is how much they charge for shipping. I buy roll from filamentpm the guys that make the fillemnt now. They are in CZ also but only charge around $10 a spool were prusa wants $20 for all shipiment
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
The Prusa filament is nice, but there are plenty of alternatives. I think their long-term plan is to have a distribution hub in the US, but it may take awhile.

Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
So is the in-house stuff available for purchase, it doesn’t seem to be called out.
I’m really just looking to blow my voucher from the survey. It seems like a nice choice, but at this rate it’s going to expire...

Perhaps items that are more specific to Prusa: a PEI sheet, or other printer parts?
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
I am half way through my first roll. I really love the stuff.

Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
It looks like the Prusament is officially in the store now.
I ordered some because of the survey voucher, but unfortunately unless they can get better shipping costs to US the cost is just prohibitive.
Can’t wait to try it though. 😀

Oooh Snap!!!
My main concern asked, and answered!
Oh, and one more thing – Prusament will be also available on Amazon within a month, because we know that shipping from Prague to the rest of the world can be a bit expensive 😉

Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
Thanks for the heads up, ordered some Prusament Galaxy Black and some other filament and finally got of me voucher. Awesome stuff and I love the way they've gone 'open source' on their manufacturing data as well!
Re: Prusa Filament; still happening?
I just hope they'll provide Pantone values for their colors, as many others do now (and more should).
That's "MISTER Old Fart" to you!

Concur and develop cheaper shipping or distribution centers in other countries,
