Printing printer parts - Why black?

Hello All, I've just finished assembling my mk3 kit (went 98% smoothly) and so far I must say that I'm very impressed with the print quality. I was thinking of printing a set of spare parts from PETG for the printer right away before moving on to printing anything else. In a number of places I've seen that some parts must be printed in black (especially extruder parts); what is the specific reason for this? Anything heat related? Thanks a lot!

The black part for the extruder is juste for the filament sensor. I have printed the same extrudeur in white and i have issu. 🙄

can you paint the interior of your white extruder, matt black, and restore serviceability?

I notice the Prusa black PETG used for the extruder is a bit shiny and sparkly in the right light. Do you know if anybody has tried simply spraying it with matte to reduce the filament sensor problems?

I haven't noticed anyone mentioning matt black paint, before my post above!
