Printing in different bed positions

Do you move your prints around on the bed "randomly"? I haven't been but I wonder if it isn't better so that the steel sheets and the x and y axis don't wear too much in the middle. If you do, does the bed heat evenly?

The only wear to speak of is where the linear bearings contact the rail.

If this is something you worry about - you can rotate the rails a bit on a regular basis.

I dont have any Wear on my print surfaces however, I will move the prints around on the bed If I am too lazy to clean the bed (adhesive buildup ect..) other than that no, 90% of my prints are centered.

I move my print positions around the bed to spread the wear - not sure if it makes much difference but I can't see why not.

@neil-t

I do the same. My thinking is that the PEI will wear out/lose it's ability to to grab parts. Printing in different spots spreads the wear out over the entire sheet. You can run into problems if your bed isn't particularly level out to the edges.
