print issue anyone help me pinpoint the solution

i was wondering if people could give me an idea what i have done wrong. my printer when printing on draft works fine as i increase the quality the base has slippage, its only the very bottom, i have looked at the tension of the belt tried different filament and change the tension of the x axels.

I took what i designed and printed into he office and they have a machine and theres printer perfectly the photo show the issue below and its only at the bottom.

I presume this is what you are concerned with?

Do you know whether it is in the X or Y direction?

With power off, and the extruder very low to the bed (do a HOME then power off)  -  move the extruder side to side and the bed back to front a few times. If there is ANY drag or friction you probably need to add some grease to the bearings and rods.

Also, check that the belt drive gear is properly installed:

Flat First: Drive gears must be tightened flat-first.

1)   Start with both set screws fully loosened so the pulley is free to spin on the motor shaft.

2)   Align one set screw dead center with the flat on the motor shaft, slowly tighten the screw until it fully contacts the flat surface.

3)   Torque the flat set screw to spec.

4)   Now tighten the jam set screw, and torque it to spec.

Once tightened, never touch the flat set screw unless the jam screw is first fully loosened.

Why Flat First? Set screws have flat ends. If you tighten the jam screw first the set screw on the shaft flat doesn't fully contact the shaft, only one small edge of the screw surface is biting. Reversing torques can easily shift the shaft to a position the flat screw no longer contacts the shaft. This lets the jam screw wriggle loose. And after a while, vibration loosens the screws until the gear is free to rotate.

I would like to say I have now sorted the issue, after taking a few things apart and checking them it turned out to be the positioning of the cog on the Y motor, moving it about 3 mm away for the motor has completely sorted the issue.

I am only putting the update here incase it helps anyone else. the difference it makes in the print is AMAZING!

thank you for your help.

kind regards
