Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?

Just to be clear, the email just asked which type of voucher I want. I didn't actually receive the voucher yet. Also, if you haven't already, make sure you qualify for the voucher (i.e. you stayed with your original choice of powder coated sheet and delayed your order, but received a sticker one by default).

I got that... i remember the emails asking for your choice of sheet and ess disappointed i didnt get one.. i am certainly entitled as when i bought mine the deal was that you would get a voucher and free shipping when the PC sheet was available,

I have contacted Prusa and they confirm that i should have got the mail and have marked my selection. Apparantly they are waiting on some people to make their choice before they start shipping the sheets.. perhaps they should start sending reminders, as if there are others like me, they arnt even aware they need to male a choice.

Wait a sec... I originally ordered in Nov 2017, and ordered with a powder coated sheet- there was no other way to order. I was then later sent an email telling me I could wait for the powder coated sheet, or ask it to be shipped without and I would receive a voucher to buy it for $10 when it became available. Are you saying I now won’t get the opportunity to buy it when my order number comes up? I did get the email last month asking me to choose which path I wanted to take... I choose the powder coated sheet. I hope that is still the case.

If you received the e-mail with the 3 options you're expected to get what you selected.

In regards to timing of the vouchers I'd suggest everyone to read their e-mail again if you received it:

Keep in mind, that if you choose one of the sheets options, there will be a waiting time for receiving the voucher. Our manufacturing capacities are still strictly limited, so we are going to send the sheet vouchers in batches (depending on the time of original printer order) and it could TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS TO DELIVER ALL VOUCHERS.

The chose the perfect word with the right vagueness.

Indeed, and I'm sure Prusa was shocked to hear that there were people upset for having to wait so long for the sheet that was advertised with their printer. I'm at 15 months since my order and haven't gotten the powder coated sheet yet. I was a little ticked when people order their printer with the PC option and received it within 4 - 8 weeks.

I fit in both categories. I bought one before and once after so I have one PC sheet. I sympathize with folks. I just wish they would fill the orders so they can sell them to all. If they are listening, I would recommend that they sell them as an order add-on and only sell that which they have in stock.

I would love to buy both a smooth and a textured PC sheet. I think there is a great market for both.

Re: Powder-coated sheets vouchers?

So this is an exchange from a chat with Prusa earlier today:

Q: I purchased a MK2.5 kit a few months back but I have not seen a voucher come up for the textured steel sheet yet. Are vouchers held up until there is a steady supply of product?

A: there is no vouchers for hte 2.5 upgrade kit as it was for the MK3 for printers ordered before March 2018

It took a while for this response and the chat ended when I was away. But this seems to contradict previous communcations on the topic.

"Powder coated steel sheets
We still have mixed luck, the yield is very small to even think about using it for all of our production. That means MK2.5 and MK3 upgrade kits are going out with Smooth PEI and same deal with $10 and free shipping voucher for sheets when they are available. I don’t want to promise any dates again, as we got burned two times already, but it will be at least a month."

Did I miss this fine print in Prusa's previous communications on this topic? I don't recall the MK2.5 upgrade being excluded from the Voucher offer.

Still no vouchers?  What is the problem... The sheets are available now!
In fact I'd rather have the smooth sheet anyways and they have been available for a long time!

The backlog was cleared in the first part of 2019. If you haven't received yours, contact support.
