maximum printable size

the manual says maximum printable size is 21x21 for the mk3s. when i try to print a more large object say 22x22 ex skirt it still prints very nice. why say 21x21cm when it can prints bigger sizes. is it because the printer functions best within those regions?

RE: maximum printable size

Hi Jimmy,

the Prusa shop says

Mk3S  - BASIC FEATURES

  • Great build volume – 11,025 cm3   (25 x 21 x 21 cm or 9,84 x 8,3 x 8,3 in) (X×Y×Z)

    so the
    max width   is 250mm -
    Max Depth  is 210mm -
Max Height is 210 mm -

Don't forget about the skirt, if the model is close to max volume, the skirt will not fit on the build plate

    regards Joan
