Is there a way to just enter the number for first layer calibration?

Hi,

 If I have the values for the first layer calibration written down for different bed sheets is there a way to enter them without going through the first layer calibration routine?  I looked at the M codes and the one I thought might do it returned a value very different that what the calibration routine says.

 I got a 3rd party steel sheet and plan to have PEI on one side and painters tape on the other, would be nice to not have to spend time on the first layer routine every time I want to swap sheets.

 BTW: The painters tape is for ninjaflex, so I can keep my PEI sheets in better shape.

This Knowledgebase search will bring up some topics that explain how to create up to eight profiles for different sheets.

I only use one sheet so I only have one profile.

Quality is the Journey, not the Destination. My limited prints->

Thanks, that will work, didn't think to search for using different sheets...

You can set the first layer z-value in Settings - scroll down nearly to the bottom.

A soft answer turns away wrath.

@epzcaw

I used the sheet profile option and it works great.  Did a first layer calibration on each sheet and once you have them all set up you can select them from the main menu.

My idea to use one side of my second steel sheet for painters tape did work for TPU but the print had bits of tape stuck to it that refused to come off, at some point I'll try painters tape plus glue stick, or simply print on the steel directly, lots of options to test out still, at least my PEI sheets will not get damaged. 😀
