IKEA parts

Hello all,

I am new to this site and to Prusa.  I have an MK3 on order but would like to build my IKEA enclosure while I wait..  Does anyone know a source where I can buy the 3D printed parts that are in the Prusa design?

thanks

Mark

RE: IKEA parts

Sorry, I would not know where but given that the print time is very long for all the parts I would assume that purchasing the printed parts would not be worth it. Better print it yourself. Even when printing PETG, an enclosure is not strictly necessary (even if it helps improving print quality a bit). I built my own IKEA enclosure based on the BROR shelf and did exactly that to get my plastic parts for it.

What one can do while waiting for the printer is getting all the parts necessary for assembly and assembling the IKEA shelf etc.

Mk3s MMU2s, Voron 0.1, Voron 2.4

RE: IKEA parts

Using PrusaPrinters Wold map you could find other users near you. Maybe they will print on demand or help you get the IKEA parts printed.

As @thejiral points out, an enclosure is not necessary unless the filament used has high shrinkage and models are medium to large.

I print PETG, TPU, Prusament PC, ABS and nylon without an enclosure.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉
