Got your shipping notice yet???

Since the ship date of the 29th is right around the corner, I decided to start a thread here like the one that was in the MK2 thread. It proved very useful for me when I ordered my MK2 and waited 7 weeks to get it.

To be helpful to those further down the order list in anticipating their ship date, please post the following once you receive your shipping notice.

1. ORDER DATE

2. SHIP DATE

I would suggest not muddying up the thread with a I got mine today message unless you mention it in the same original post with your order date and ship date. I found this information very helpful and hope others will find this thread helpful. I will be posting my notice soon I hope.

George, do you want to add "Kit" or "Prebuilt" to your date list?

Got my shipping notice. But No powder-coated spring steel sheet due to problems with their manufacturing in large and constant quality. So might get shipped with smooth PEI speet version. Plus free T-shirt

Cool, do you mind providing the information requested in the OP?

Sure, why not... Just note it in your post rather than starting another separate thread.

Re: Got your shipping notice yet???

Anyone in the US get shipping notices? Ordered the kit within an hour of it being released and nothing yet, just curious.

Re: Got your shipping notice yet???

I am not sure what people here think qualifies as a shipping notice. To me it means "The package is shipped; here is your tracking number." So seeing people post notices of shipment two days from now is a little disingenuous.

I am in the US and ordered a few minutes after the MK3 became available. At about 6pm US/Central I received a message with the subject indicating "Your MK3 is Ready to Ship!" however this message informed me of the production issue with the powdercoated PEI sheets and asked if I wanted to wait or if I wanted to have the printer shipped ASAP, possibly with a substitute sheet for the bed. Like that is even a question they need to ask. But I did need to give them my tshirt size which was a nice bonus 😆

The email was a little confusing; the way I read it is that some printers may ship with the textured PEI sheet as promised but due to low yield some may ship with a "smooth double sided PEI sheet" which I gather is a piece of spring steel with adhesive backed PEI on both sides. Should they ship my machine with this substitute I would also receive a discount to one of the original sheets when it is available. This is a pretty nice option IMO since I would probably get one of each type anyway.

ORDER DATE: 9/23 ~15 minutes after announcement
ORDER TYPE: mk3 Kit - Orange Parts
SHIPPING STATUS: Inqquiry 10/27, Reply 10/28, Shipment TBD

US based destination

Ordered September 23 ~Within the hour of announcement....why I hesitated I don't know, I knew I was getting it as soon as I saw it, just wanted to do my due diligence and look it over and read what was offered I guess. Still not a fan of the zip ties, but almost everything else they addressed and more.

Kit MK3

No email as of this post 🙁 but still hopeful to be in on the first shipment.

Super excited!, this is bigger than iDay!

Re: Got your shipping notice yet???

Also have a question, is it OK to share order numbers?

Any reasons why we couldn't/shouldn't , seems like everything is tied into Prusas internal system, and based on what another user said, it looks fairly obvious they are using a sequential numbering system.

So it seems possible to see where we are in the queue based on those orders around our personal order number.

Based on what people have said they are/historically have been shipped out on a first come first serve basis rather than location based batches reportedly.

The problem with that is that the mix all order numbers in sequence... be it mmus, mk2s or mk3 so you couldn't really see where you stand in queue

I don't think that would matter though would it?

Hypothetically if your MK3 kit order number came before a person that got their email, your number would still be relatively placed before the one confirmed to ship soon?

I only ask because I was a very early order on the 23rd, and it seems many others that ordered a kit as I did and are in the ~same location as me have received their notifications .

I am sure it's only a matter of time, trying really hard to be patient...but going to be perfectly honest I am Super Excited! Moreso than for anything else, these things are amazing, and been waiting for a great machine with these capabilities since I was a little kid and a nice CNC lathe and mill are unfortunately out of my price range.

Just made a tiny 1/4-28 to M8x1.25 threaded adaptor for DIY oil meter dosing pump for my Rotax FR125 tonight on my current machine, the ability to create very unique parts quickly and easily is almost unparrelleled!

I can't wait for a machine that can do everything better!

And I hope they are a little more ...flexible😄 on the SS build plates, I think it will be ~$55 to get the plate that hypothetically would have came with the machine. Which is perfectly fine, no problem waiting, just a fair bit in unexpected cost to get what I thought would be included. (Hopefully that doesn't have any negative connotations, it's not intended to)
