Doubt about this print quality, not sure really

Hello, I would like to know if this texture on the layers from a printed cylinder with my prusa MK3S is a normal effect or I actually have a problem?

My print settings are default from pruslicer and I use PLA+ from esun with 205 extrusion temp and 60 bed temp.

I have the printer updated in firmware and belt tension and screws are well tensioned and tight.

My best guess is that you need to change the nozzle and/or the nozzle PTFE.

When you say your belt tension is tight, how did you check it?  The only way to be absolutely sure is to use the 3D printed GT gauge

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus

Belts too tight can cause issues as well as too loose.

Must be printed in PETG.

Is this a freshly built kit?

Watch this Prusa video, has some useful things to check. Your extruder may be different but the checks should not differ that much.

Tank you very much!

We saw this exact symptom and question a couple of months back - do a google search on this site for cylinder ... you should be able to find it.

I think I saw in another thread that the tension checking tool must be printed in in prusa PETG.    Dan that might have been you that did that print in non prusa PETG to confirm.

@ssill2the a

Print the gauge in Prusament Petg - not just Prusa PETG or generic PETG.  The test that I did - compare the Prusament PETG version with a generic PETG - no profiles involved because both prints use the same GCODE file - just changed to different filaments.

Prusament PETG has a specific stiffness that the gauge dial is tuned to.  With the non-stiffer regular PETG the gauge fits the belt just as expected (they look identical from the outside) but the readings, one after the other are different.  I mounted the original Prusament PETG gauge, and as expected on my printer the needle points to the top end of the "sweet spot" (right on the line).  Then, I removed the original, and put the imposter gauge on the belt.  If the print was calibrated the same as the Prusament, the two readings should be the same.  Instead, the regular PETG filament read just above the middle of the sweet spot.

I repeated with both belts - same result.  The gauge pattern is designed to work with Prusament PETG.  A different dial would need to be calibrated with a different PETG.  Using the gauge printed not with Prusament to adjust the belts may lead to over-tightening, which can effect your prints.
