can't use sd card for g-code transfer - options?

My laptop with Fusion 360 won't read the sd card so I'm looking for other options to dump g code on my MK3.  What's the easiest thing?  I can't seem to access the printer via usb with prusaslicer and haven't had any luck finding instructions how to connect with Repetier.

Any ideas?

If there is no or malfunctioning card slot on your laptop, an external SD card reader may help (easiest option).
You could also take a look at Octoprint ( https://octoprint.org/). It uses a network attached Raspberry Pi to control the MK3.
I don't know Repetier.

I have found that cards formatted with the SD Association formatter work consistently between my desktops and 3D printers.

BTW. There is not mechanism for PrusaSlicer to send GCode to the printer, it can however update firmware. If you can't resolve he SD problem you could use Pronterface but be aware that the PC will be streaming (little or no buffering in the printer) the GCode to the printer so any interruption will have potentially dire consequences.

If you can get your hands on a Toshiba FlashAir memory card, this is an option too.
With this g-code can be transferred to the SD card via Wi-Fi directly from PrusaSlicer or the file manager as a file share.

I use FlashAir on my Prusa printers.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

This is the main reason I've added a Raspberry Pi and OctoPrint to my printers. It eliminates issues with SD card formatting, reader reliability and shuffling the card back and forth. It also adds a bunch of convenience features.

The FlashAir approach works but was flaky when using MacOS. My original (expensive) FlashAir card failed after 6 months. I've replaced it, but they are now very expensive. I've tried the FYSETC clone cards but they are very cumbersome to use.

I'm still waiting for Prusa Connect for the i3...  Come-on Josef.  Until then.. SD Card and its pain.
