I have exactly the same problem as described by you guys. It's driving me crazy, no matter what I do, the right side is more squished then the left side. Applying bed-level correction does not yield results as expected.

I applied small rubber rings under the spacers and tightened / loosened the screws according to the mesh bed levelling result. It seems to have approved a tiny bit in that I can get stuff around the center with a consistent first layer. But I don't even dare to try a print that covers the whole bed....

My mid February MK3 has exactly the same symptom. I cannot get the bed to mesh level from left to right side the same 1st layer. I wish Prusa would deliver on a one of its features of the MK3.

my machine:
typical z offset is -0.70
delivered December 2017
pinda type (unsure, but the tip is black)

first tweak was to shim up the backside of the right Y axis guide rod to get the two rods parallel (or maybe it was down.. I made a new adjustable mount for that corner)

steel spring washer stacks (2 each) in the bed to give some compliance for adjustments
completed 2 rounds of flattening using the G80/G81 and then mapping how many turns of the 0.5mm pitch screw
would obtain the required change. That was about 1 month ago and I haven't touched it since.

I never really had problems but I was interested in the thought of improving just for the heck of it - to avoid the Z axis screw turning to compensate during the first layer.

I don't need to - but I can print a single layer that covers the entire bed. It comes out like a plastic sheet of paper, though with one side smooth and one side rough. Of course things are not perfect on the top surface and there are interesting patterns from the extrusion irregularities but there are not any functional problems.

I never did any of the manual mesh offset adjustments in software and I don't even know how to do that. To me that seems redundant and over-complicated if one is also adjusting the mechanism.

I don't know if I got lucky or if some people are unlucky with their particular machine. I listed this so people might check for differences.

sorry to dig this up... assembled my printer last week...same pronlems Right is too low and right is too high...

Got a replacement Bed... same issue... when the bed is mounted it looks warped if i put a ruler on it but thats toward the middle... the correction made by the automatic bed mesh leveling doesnt seem to correspind to the warping of the bed.... i have nearly the same heatmap on both beds... that cant be awarping issue... it looks more firmware to me...

I too am still struggling and this weekend it cost me... I have had my printer pretty much dialed in as good as I could get it for the first layer... On the left side of the bed my first layer is just starting to get wavy from being too low and the right center the first layer is at the brink of being too high, kind of an acceptable balance or at least as good as I could do... I started a full bed print on Saturday and as the first layer hit the area just left of front center it was low enough that the nozzle couldn't extrude any filament and dug into the surface of the sheet, I have about a 2cm square area of mildly damaged PEI now. Either the PrusaMeshMap plugin is reporting wrong numbers or there's an issue with the PINDA as MeshMap consistently reports my bed level variance at less than .1mm and more like .05mm. I've tried re-adjusting the springs to move the high spots on the bed and MeshMap shows moved high spots but doing so doesn't affect where I'm having first layer issues. i.e. they are consistently in the same area regardless of what I do. As a side note I even tried flipping the sheet over and printing thinking that if it were the sheet the high and low spots would be shifted by 180 degrees about the Y axis, but they don't.

anyone got any update concerning this issue ?

I made the springs mod and got a variance of 0.01.. switched back to stock spacers with a vairance of 0.3 and i got exactly the same shitty first layer...

the left is too high... it seems the firmware ignore completely the values measured using the pinda

Hello,
I've been suffering absolutely the same problem since two weeks. Before I just printed small parts, I always spent a lot of time to adjust the Z. Now, I'd like to print larger parts, but I'm not able to have a consistent and proper first layer.

Have you found any real solution for it?

I tried many thins with no or just partial result.
