RE: 3.10.0 Firmware for MK3, MK3S, MK3S+

Is there anyway to update firmware using an SD card??  My printer and computer are in 2 different rooms.  I have a MK3+ and I went to print something and the printer is now saying it needs an update.  But all the updating manuals says I have to use a USB cable.  All my other printers I can update with an SD card.

Thanks

M

@vwgo

I am pretty sure the only way on the MK3S is by USB connection.

If you are running Octoprint (which I assume @vwgo is not) there is a plugin that will allow you to update printer firmware.

Which One

I get a message that 3.10 is now available, after a bit of a hunt round I find this page and a list

prusa3d_fw_MK25S_3_10_0_4481_RAMBo10a.zip  1.49 MB

prusa3d_fw_MK25S_3_10_0_4481_RAMBo13a.zip  1.49 MB

prusa3d_fw_MK25_3_10_0_4481_RAMBo10a.zip  1.52 MB

prusa3d_fw_MK25_3_10_0_4481_RAMBo13a.zip  1.52 MB

prusa3d_fw_MK3S_MK3S+_3_10_0_4481.hex  894 KB

prusa3d_fw_MK3_3_10_0_4481.hex  897 KB

Without having to read through all the blurb how do I know which one I need?

Please pardon my ADHD, but how do you install new Firmware?

I’m sure it’s here somewhere, but if someone would do me a kindness, I would really appreciate a pointer to a thread/post that instructs newbies how to install firware.

Thanks in advance!

Pruslicers part in upgrades

Pruslicer 'knows' there is an update available and flags it in the GCode when it is transfered to the printer on an SD card.  Prislicer is also the means to flash the firmware to the printer.

So I can't understand why there isn't an option in Pruslicer to fetch the firmware update ready for reflashing the printer? Surely is can't be that hard and it would save the user having to hunt around for the download and potentialy be confused by the options?

How do we get the G-code to put in the time remaining until a color change?  I've got Prusaslicer 2.3.3, and it's not adding that info to the M73 lines.  I use color changes a lot, and would really like to know how to get this feature to work.
