Hello,
when I set Z-Value to suitable value within the "First layer calibration" the test print looks fine. Neither is the nozzle too close to bed, nor too high.
 
When I start a normal print, e.g. some of the predefined GCODE on from the sdcard, the nozzle is to high, so the first layer does not look nice and the stickiness is reduced as well. Here I can adust the live Z-value to bring the nozzle closer to the bed. No problem: I can make some test prints, to find the suitable value.
But, why is there a difference between "first layer calibration" and let's "real/normal" mode?
So for me the "first layer calibration" functionality is useless, I need instead to be very careful, that I not use it accidentally with to low Z-values.

You must first do a complete "First layer calibration" under the Calibration menu. Then the Z level is stored in the printer memory.
Once you have done this, you can later change the height with "Live adjust Z" later.

If you have only performed a "Live adjust Z", the printer will not save your information.

Thanks, for your response.

I did. After "First layer calibration" the new Z-Value was successfully saved. Afterwards during a normal print I could modify the Z-value over "live adjust Z", that was already set to my value that I have defined before over "First layer calibration" method. So that is really strange, there must be some difference in the firmware  though, like the reference taken from the PINDA probe is different after calibration.

I hope after doing the the "live adjust Z", it has constant in values, otherwise my first layer is game of luck.

I thought I've read that the "live adjust Z" values remains in memory, at least that is what I have read in the docs somewhere.
