Z Calibration Keeps Failing
Hello,
I am having an issue with my MK3 not calibrating the z-axis. When running the wizard or the Calibrate Z routine it runs all the way to the top until it hits the stops and grinds for a couple seconds and then says "Calibration Failed!". I am running the latest Firmware 3.8.0, however it started doing this before I upgraded from 3.1.0. Previous to this issue it has been running fine for over a year. Any help is much appreciated.

have you tried factory reset with data clear?

I have not Joan. Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried the clear XYZ calibration option with no luck. How does one perform the factory reset?

with the printer off, hold down the lcd selector knob, then turn the power on, keep the selector knob held down, and you should be oddered factory reset...
then use the lcd knob to select the option that also clears stored data!

Recently had this issue, for me it was a broken wire in the PINDA probe. Seemed to be alright at the bottom of the axis, but lost connection at the top.

Thanks. I tried this but still no change. I think it may be a bad PINDA

I think this is the issue. With the hot end raised about 100 mm above the heat bed the PINDA probe state is 1 instead of 0. Time to check the wiring.
