Y axis length failure

what would cause a 'Y axis length failure' on the selftest.  There is also a strong clicking sound.  What is the solution?

RE: Y axis length failure

The bed must move 210 mm; easy to measure.  Manually slide the bed to the front then to the back, it should move 210 mm, or a bit more.  Anything that prevents that range of motion will cause a failure.

Bearings installed wrong; cable ties positioned wrong (the build instructions are very clear); cables routed where they interfere; U-bolys installed where they interfere (very close tolerances, any positioning errors they can hit the frame); etc.

Another common cause if the motor drive gear is not installed correctly, or a loose belt.

I retightened the screws on the belt mounts after moving one a bit more to the far side to stretch the belt.  Now its working!

many thanks.
