XYZ calibration fails on improving calibration 3of4

Hello all,

Any suggestions on how to respond to my printer failing during calibration? It performs the self-test fine, finds all 4 points on initial calibration, and then during the improving calibration step it immediately fails when the bed slides forward to locate point 3, stating "Bed calibration point was not found."

I finished putting the kit together last week and now I am stuck at this stage.

Thanks for any ideas!

Tim.

Hi Tim,
is it possible that there is something preventing free movement of the x and y axis?

perhaps the Y axis cable bundle?

is the printer in normal mode or stealth mode?

stealth mode has reduced power, and does not sense lost steps

regards Joan

Thanks for the input, Joan!

I thought I had all the cables checked but it turned out to be the cable connected to the bottom of the heat bed. The instructions said to put some slack into the cable but I must have put in too much and it was catching on the frame or rail zip tie or something. I used an extra zip tie to remove the slack (see pictures in case this happens to anyone else they can see my solution).

...annnnd, pictures came out upside down, because anything tech hates me, lol. If you need these pics for help just turn your monitor upside down and hopefully it will make more sense.
