Hi All,
I am brand new to the world of 3D printing. I purchased my Prusa MK3 just over a year ago and I am finally getting around to putting it together. Assembly is complete, but both the wizard and the Z-axis calibration are failing the same way. X and Y seem okay, and the machine drives the extruder to the top of the Z-axis as expected. That said, as soon as calibration begins, it fails IMMEDIATELY when driving the extruder *down* the Z-axis. Like, it moves a few mm and fails with the following error:
"Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again"
I have a video that I will try to post showing the exact problem.
Firmware has been updated to 3.9.0. Obviously we did something wrong in assembly, but I have no idea where to start looking. Anyone ever seen anything like this? Any ideas where to begin? Many thanks in advance -- I can't wait to (finally) start using this thing!

Try loosening the two screws on both sides holding the trapezoidal nuts on just to the point they can move with a little resistance, try the Z calibration again. If it works move the Z as high as possible then tighten the screws.

Thanks, I'll give that a try and report back!
Well, I promised to report back...but I am more than a little embarrassed to do so. The issue was...wait for it...that the PINDA probe cable never got plugged in to the board.
Um, yeah.
From inauspicious beginnings?...
Glad to hear you figured out the issue.
We all have those moments!
