Open the appropriate construction manual.
Google "Mk3S construction manual" or whatever printer you have.
The detailed instructions in that manual, with pictures, will serve you far better than asking here.

My vote is it isn't needed and should be cut off with diagonal cutters at first opportunity. Silly questions deserve silly answers. I know, I'll probably get flamed. Color blind by chance? Hint: ignore the wire colors and refer to the heat shrink.
But then I'm guessing.
