Shifted Lines / printing / first layer problem

Hey there,

im just starting with my new MK3S printer and have an issue with the position of the printed object and the single lines.

As you can see in the pictures below the skirt isent printed correct. It seems like the Nozzel is somehow shifted to the right position. after a few seconds the the first line came off but the extruder had already print shifted before.

i tryed to adjust the printing speed and the Z adjustment without better results.

Additional the nozzle flush gets printed in zigzag / Wave lines with isent a problem itself but maybe helps to finde a resolution.

i googled a lot but couldnt find a similare case so I hope you can help my solving this problem 🙂

Thanks in advance!

Best wishes

You need to go through a complete Layer One Calibration.  Then fine tune that setting to get good adhesion.

Oh - and - since you are a new user: use the default printing parameters until you understand exactly what changing them means and will do.

ps: I have never seen a print sheet that looks like the photo. What are you printing on?

Your first layer calibration is way off, the filament needs to be squished more.

Many beginners have problems with the built-in first layer calibration routine. There are alternatives, see this page by a regular poster here:

and look at this thread:

Cheerio,

I love the juxtaposition in this one.  first picture "what I wanted to see" and then "and this is what I got" - like those baking shows where nailed it or not 😉

Hey there,

The first layer with the squiggly is a sign that you are way too high.  Make you Z more negative.  It is almost like you did not do the first layer calibration.

12/05/2021 - original post

...

17/05/2021 and five posts without a single response from the person having the problem.

This forum is good - all you need to do is post a question then go away : and then the problem magically gets solved.

He probably solved it himself or chucked the printer.
