Self test fails when testing Y-axis
Hi,
I just finished assembling my printer. Everything seems to be OK in my opinion. But the self test is failing when checking the Y-Axis.
It is moving the axis in any direction until its end stops, but then it fails.
I checked the barrings and the belt. Its free to move. I tested it without motor just to see if something is blocking... its not.
Does anybody has a clue or help?

Just had a chat with the support..
They told me to check the motor pulley. It has to be a GT16 and not a GT20. There are some batches with wrong pulleys.
I will check this evening. Hope it's that easy.

I just assembled my i3 MK3S kit and has the same problem. The heatbed will go back and forth during the self test and
slams into the rear stops on its return. Checked all listed potential problems and even checked a friend's MK3S to compare
belt tension and movement of heatbed - self test still fails on Y axis. I'm also at loss what to check next....

I just wrote an email to the support:
- Fan test: OK
- X-axis:
- driving to left (light contact)
- running to right (light contact)
- back to left (hard contact)
- Result: OK
- Y-axis:
- driving back (light contact)
- driving forward (light contact)
- driving back (hard contact)
- Result: Fail! y-axis length error
I did several things to figure out what could cause the problem, but didn't make it work:
- checked if something is in the way of the axis: nothing here. The barring touches the printed part at the front and back end of the axis
- removed the belt to test if the platform is free to move: ok, no force needed
- loosened the barrings and fastened them again
- tried different belt tensions

Okay,
the problem above was my error.
They delivered a wrong Pulley. GT2-20 instead of GT2-16.
I will get a new one now.

Thanks for the information, I checked my pulley and its also the incorrect one.
I was sent a GT2-20 instead of the CT2-16
