Searching for bed calibration point 1 of 4 - Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again.

I can't seem to get past the message "Searching for bed calibration point 1 of 4 - Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again."

This is a new printer, just finished assembling it two days ago.  Ran wizard setup everything was good.  Ran a print. Perfect.  Ran a second print, it was not coming out right so I hit the x button under the control knob.  When I tried to run the third print I could not.

Initial error messages wanted me to clean the head - which I did.  I tried running the setup wizard (several times), and the xyz routine (several times) - but when I get to the point that it says "Searching for bed calibration point 1 of 4" I almost immediately get the error message "Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again.".

I read a post that said to put some sewing machine oil on the y axis, which i did but that didn't help.

Would really appreciate any advise to get the printer printing again.

Thanks.

<Issue solved>

Never mind. Blush.

So I had connected an external Raspberry PI to the printer via the USB cable.  My USB cable is black.  I got the black i3 mk3.

Guess what I didn't see clearly when I ran the xyz calibration - yup - the usb cable was getting jammed in with the z motor near the very bottom of the z axis preventing the head from going all the way down.

Moved the usb cable away, the setup has now fully run correctly.

Note to PRUSA, please add a little hook or something to the cable case to keep the usb cable from drifting to the front of the printer.

May I point out - you have a 3D printer!

Find a hook on Thingiverse - or design one. Good experience either way.

He who owns a 3D Printer - owns the world.
