Print releasing from the bed

I am pretty new to 3D printing. I just got the the i3-mk3s setup and running two days ago. I am trying my first print. The print is releasing from the bed after the first few layers. One is 9 and one is about 18 layers in. I have followed the troubleshooting guides, verified my bed temp is 60 and my nozzle temp is 215. My print doesn't look like the "too high" "too low" examples for nozzle height. I've cleaned and recleaned the bed with 99% isopropyl alcohol. I am running it on speed 71%. I am using the filament that came with the printer.

I can't seem to find any directions that address my specific issue. I probably just don't know the right terminology for searches.

I know I am probably missing something obvious. Our previous 3D printer lacked bells and whistles and fine calibration so I am definitely inexperienced.

RE: Print releasing from the bed

For PLA:

Try washing the plate in warm water and plain dish soap (no scents, hand moisturizers, etc... Dawn is what is usually recommended). Once you wash it, do not touch it with your bare hands again. Dry it with a lint free towel and then put it back on the printer.

Between prints wipe it down with 91% or better IPA. How often is up to you. Some people recommend between every print while others will let it go a few prints between wipe downs.

Repeat the wash anytime the bed gets dirty or starts having adhesion issues.

After awhile (and it might be a good idea to do it now) the PEI will become less sticky. In that case wipe it down with 100% acetone after the bath.

never underestimate the power of dawn. it's all I use now. I just have to wash my plate every few days.

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

RE: Print releasing from the bed

New pei sheet sticks less then olders ones!

Slower first layers helps,

Hotter first layer helps,

Cleaning is very important,

A big flat model could need, a big brim, (distance from opject to 0,and brim widht 4 or 6), then the model is bigger on the bed and will stick better, and curling forces will be less.

Use glue stick if needed.

Temperture filament in general, is only advise, it could be higher/lower needed , also for printing.

The prusa settings for slicer, are only advise settings, they are pretty good, but alway need adjusting.

The high infill speed is bad, i lower this on the settings and save it, the 200 mm is now 150.

PETG printing, the infill pattern is wrong and your nozzle will hit the infill, change this to honycomb, why this is i do not know, other silution i did not find.

You always need to adjust settings., thats why reading this forum is important, to learn setting.

Hoter printing i use often,

slower printing, infill speed.

Brim to model and 6 layers brim, to against curling.

Very small foot print models on the bed, need a b big brim connected to the model.

First layer not low enough.

These may be of merit to you.

If everything fails, you can go for glue stick, but I'd recommend not to.
