Print issues at a certain height?

First-time 3D printer here. I took my time assembling the printer. One modification I made to the kit was to use an Olsson Ruby tip instead of the one from the kit. I had to calibration tests a few times to fix some pulley issues and the height of the tip and PINDA sensor.

I first used the textured steel sheet and was able to get a good Prusa label and a Batarang printed. I then tried a Benchy (the one in the back of the picture) and it dislodged from the plate before it got to finish. I also tried printing the cube spinner (but first put some glue to make sure it sticks. At a certain height, as seen in the picture, the alignment went off and it continued to print at an offset. I then put on the smooth steel sheet and tried the Benchy again (pictured in the foreground). This time the printer gave an error when it got to the same height as the alignment error in the cube spinner.

Any clue what is happening?

After redoing calibrations, I am printing the Benchy again and will reply with the results of that.

RE: Print issues at a certain height?

Looking at your prints it seems you have an adhesion problem.

The first benchy failed at a height where many have problems. The tips of the arches curl up and the print gets hit by the nozzle. If you have adhesion problems that is where the print gets knocked loose.

Looking at the prusa logo you can see that it is curled up too.

The 2nd benchy looks like it came loose to and was dragged by the nozzle.

The cube spinner looks to have layer shifts in both x and y direction. (maybe got hit causing that layer shifts)

What was the error you got? Was it a crash detection?

Can you post a picture of the under side of you prints. That way we can see how well your first layer is.

And clean your sheets with dish soap and plenty of hot water. That is really the only way to get them really clean.

Dry them with clean paper towels and don't touch the sheets again with your fingers.

Put them on the printer and heat to bed to 60 C for around 15 minutes to fully dry the sheet.

The error I got was crash detection.

I am attaching pictures of the undersides.

I did make a successful print of a Benchy. Pictures attached. There are some spots that don't look good: On the roof and on both sides.
