MK3s New build. X axis failed

I checked the pulleys, the are installed like they are supposed to be. The belt isn't rubbing on the orange parts.

I checked the System -> X number. It as 148. That's supposed to mean the belt is too tight. It wasn't but I loosened it a little anyway. No change

I lubed the shafts, even though they don't need it. The X axis starts at the left side, runs out to the middle, stops, goes back left, returns a little then fails. Help seems to be non-existent though I'm sure it isn't. I just can't find anything but this forum

I solved my problem. The idler pulley was too tight by 1/64 of a turn or less. Now to figure out how to use the printer beyond the files that came with it

The tension numbers are meaningless for belts. They show the current required to drive the axis, and a 150 means your bearings are way too tight. Did you grease them before installation?

A second issue is if the extruder back is torqued down too tight, it also crimps the bearings and causes excess drag. Loosening those screws near the bearings usually helps.

If this comment makes it through it'll be a partial duplicate.

Currently in moderation for some reason: "I solved my problem. The idler pulley was too tight by 1/64 of a turn or less. Now to figure out how to use the printer beyond the files that came with it."

I also loosened the extruder back, made sure the bearing was centered, and tightened it. I don't think I was quite as energetic as I was the first time I tightened it The printer is currently 1/2 way through printing it's second print. I'll print some real projects in the morning.
