Loud vibrating noise Z axis related to Y axis (i3 MK3s)

Hi all,

i am using an original  Prusa i3 mk3S that i build from a kit.

I know the Z axis is something that is much written about. I could not find my issue so here it is:

My Z axis makes a loud vibrating noise whilst  moving. It is exactly the noise as in the video here.

It occured to me that when i move the heatbed to the front and move the z axis, the noise is practically gone. When i move the heatbed to the back and move z axis again, the noise is terrible.

What could be the problem and how can i solve this?

Kindest regards from The Netherlands,

Bart

First you have to rule out that there is no mechanical problem (defective linear bearings or trapezoidal nuts). The X axis should also be aligned parallel to the bed. I would move the Z-axis all the way up again and loosen and tighten the brackets for the Z-axis and threaded spindle.
Maybe a loose contact or a defective cable on the movable cable harnesses is responsible for these noises.

Good luck!
