Horrible sounds coming from everywhere

Ive made a couple videos outlining some of the problems

I just removed the bearings and greased them with super lube as instructed by another thread i saw here. It didnt seem to help even the slightest. The printer passes all tests and seems to print okay but holy crap is it loud compared to my ender 3. This is an mk3s that i just finished recently

Started a new print here is what I just found.

The x-axis is grinding really bad and when I press down on the x motor it gets much quieter. Everything seems to be nice and tight so I'm not sure how to fix the issue.

If I slow the print speed down to 50% of the default speed it sounds fine.

Hello,

Mine was doing such a sound until I find it was the orange screen case which vibrated, amplifying all the vibrations of the machine. I clipped it more firmly and since then the machine is quiet.

I hope it will help.

MK3s Stock, PS2.3, Fusion360, Debian, Windows 10.

@loak

I tried pushing around on the lcd panel area in different sections but didn't notice much difference. When I push on the x axis motor I do notice a difference but I've already attempted to tighten everything as much as possible without breaking something and it made no difference.

You might have overtightened the xaxis to the point where the bearings are out of alignment. Pushing down on it aligns them again. So try and losen the 5 screws at the rear cover of the extruder by a quarter or half a turn.

I meant to type 4 screws.

Offtopic, why is there no way to edit a post?

Another thing i noticed when re-greasing my bearings is that every one of them rattles. Is this something that is supposed to happen or are the bearing i got defective?

After packing them with grease, they should be quite. If they make a rattling or grinding noise, they might be damaged. I would order a couple of them. That way you have some spare and you can compare the noise to a new one. Remember, when they are brand new, they will be a bit noisier as there is just a thin layer of oil on them. The screws do not need to be very tight when you install the cover. Just enough so there is no play between the extruder, the cover and the bearings. If you overtighten them, you force them into a position where they are not properly aligned.

I built my kit 4 days ago, and it too passed all preflight checks.    It prints like a dream.  It was amazingly loud and clunky sounding.

I checked my belt tension (X=250 Y= 252).

I printed a few things, and over the course of about 10 hours of printing, it now has settled down and gotten quiet.  Print quality is still phenomenal.

Maybe yours just needs to be run a bit?  Let it settle itself into it's grooves?

@ferly

i should have been more specific. When i de-greased them i could hear them rattling around after i put the super lube in them they stopped rattling. I just didnt know if it was suppose to rattle at all.
