Help please - Y direction artifact

Hey, I just put together my MK3S kit and everything else is great but I am getting an odd artifacting in the Y direction on my printer. I just updated the firmware, that didn't fix it. Has anyone else seen this? what things should I be looking at?

The pug looks like you have something seriously wrong with the hot end assembly. Something hot is dragging across the print that shouldn't be. My guess is one of the two screws in the heater block is all wrong.

Lift the Z-axis to the top, snap then post a photo of the nozzle and heater block.  Be sure you use LINK TO : MEDIA FILE when you insert the image.

Flixed it, Y belt was too loose. It was periodically shifting and the infill layers were ending up on the outside of the print.

A loose belt?  That usually causes a full shift in the part (infill AND perimeters shift equally), and it can't explain the rubbed off effect. So no, that probably wasn't the problem.

The only thing I changed was the Y belt tension and it fixed the issue entirely. So either that was the issue or there was something else entirely that randomly disappeared. Either way, all print quality issues are gone at this time and my newly assembled printer is creating beautiful quality prints.
