Heat Bed Temperature

I noticed that the heat bed was not all that hot to touch. I measured the temp on the bed during a print and it only came to 42 c. 18c below the target level. Is there a way to overcome this difference? I have used the tune function to set the bed to 70c but my temp probe still only measures 52. Is there a better way? 🙂

Re: Heat Bed Temperature

the heatbed itself is reporting 42 or you have a temp gun? Odd that it would even make through self-test if it only makes it to 42.

I had a thermometer sitting on the heat bed while printing which reported 42 while the Mark 3 was reporting 60 .

Best to use one of those little laser temperature guns off Amazon. They are not expensive and work well. You will find your bed varies in temp in different areas and this can help you place your prints better.
