GCode for MK3 -> MK3S parts problematic

Trying to see if anyone else who just got their MK3 -> MK3S upgrade is also having the same problem...
I just got mine yesterday (I assume one of the first as I ordered it day 1) and downloaded the pre-sliced gcode files to print the needed parts.

I started with the larger print (the one that's supposed to take ~8.5 hours) and followed the instructions for bed prep by laying down a layer of gluestick.
This immediately failed with almost nothing sticking at all, even the brim.
So I stopped it and decided maybe it was too much glue. Cleaned it off and re-applied a much thinner layer by getting it a little wet with some hot water. That made it through a couple of the parts' first layers before also failing.
The only way I got it to work was to use the other side of my flex plate (which had never been used before), clean it a few times with windex, and then, as the print started, I noticed that it seemed a little high, so I used the live z-tune to adjust it down ~0.05mm at which point the brim seemed like it was good. From there it worked fine. Just in case, I froze the whole plate for 25 mins before trying to remove and everything came off fine.

At first I thought it was just me, but a friend who is doing the same upgrade (his printer is only a couple months older than mine... mine is ~3 weeks) told me that he also had problems getting it to stick. Actually has not yet at this point. So it made me wonder if maybe the gcode is tuned for the powder coated sheets they use in the print farm or something?

Anyways, anyone else having issues?

I found that different gluesticks gave different results. The Kores gluestick did not give me good adhesion. https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/general-discussion-announcements-and-releases-f61/which-gluestick--t26617.html#p121002

Glue is a pita to get right, hence I don't bother with it anymore. Much happier now. 😆

That is how I printed my backup pieces and it worked well on both the TXT and PEI sheet.

I printed the parts without a brim directly from the gcode files. I always use 3DLac and it worked perfectly fine.
