RE: First layer not sticky

Your problem is quite common for beginners.
The causes are usually fingerprints on the bed and / or to high Z level.
Start by washing the bed with detergent and warm water, wipe with paper. Alcohol or acetone is not enough for a basic cleaning.
Then adjust the Z level so that you get a perfect first layer. Then it should work better.
Here is a very good post that you should read.

Are you using a smooth or a powder-coated textured sheet?

RE: First layer not sticky

My experience with the powder-coated textured sheet is that both PLA and PETg will stick very well with no makeshifts like glue or hair spray, but you really need to be sure the sheet is very clean, and alcohol is the best to use.

They say that acetone will degrade the surface and some say not to use water or dish soap either.

I would check the live-Z calibration to be sure it's good.  Remember that the powder-coated sheets need a different Z value than the smooth sheets.

I would also suggest, particularly for small pieces, to use the brim function in your slicer.  I've found that it eliminates small pieces not sticking to the sheet.
