First Layer Calibration not sticking...

I can’t seem to get my first layer calibration to stick to the bed.  I have tried various attempts at recalibrating adjusting the PINDA sensor height with no luck.

The corners on the calibration layer are very rounded and when it gets to the grid it usually gums up and the cinnamon sticks to extruder.

I am printing PLA but noticed the French fan isn’t blowing during the calibration.  Should it be?

Hi Darryl,
have you tried washing the build plate in the sink, with hot water and dish wash detergent like Fairy Liquid, then drying the build plate with clean plain paper towels before returning the build plate to your printer? do not use any other surface preparation
increase the bed temperature to 70Centigrade for PLA

use 7x7 mesh bed levelling (tests 49points on the build plate,)

use the 'Life Adjust Z My Way', process to set live Z  you can search for this in the forum.

regards Joan

Always clean your sheet plate. I always use an inexpensive active cleaner which includes some alcohol (€3.5/litre).

It‘s also possible your Z calibration is to hight.
