Finally Got My Black Friday Toy - Losing Adhesion on Bed with 2 Minutes Remaining

Good evening everyone.  My MK3S+ arrived assembled today.  I've been making sure all firmware and tests are good.  I decided to print the 23 minute PRUSA logo and all was well until the 2 minute mark.  The piece came loose from the bed and the bottom right part of the "R" gummed the nozzle and was sliding all over the bed.  I stopped the print.

Any ideas why it held tight until the very end?  Thanks in advance for helping a noob out.   Bed was cleaned with alcohol prior to starting.

Was it the Smooth build plate, textured plate or Silk Plate?

Can we see a picture of the underside of the Prusa Logo?

I Don't use IPA anymore, I wash the build plate really thoroughly, in the sink, with Hot Water  and a little dish detergent, then rise well with hot water, and dry immediately with plain paper towels. then without touching the surface with my hands, I print PLA, straight onto the build plate.

the Prusa first layer configuration tool is not very easy to use, in my opinion, I would suggest that you try

make sure that you are using 7x7 mesh bed levelling  (LCD Menu    Settings> Mesh Bed)

Joan,

Thank you for your response.  The bed is the smooth green one.  I also noted a slight bow in the logo too.  It was cleaned with iso before printing.  Thoughts?  I'm using Prusa PLA.

@hdhjr

Hi Hdhjr

your first layer is a problem...
this is a picture of my first layer at several Live Z heights.

the actual values are unique to my printer but you can see the sort of finish you are looking for

You also seem to have finger prints on the build plate to the left and right of the prusa logo... these will not help...

I wash my build plate to remove grease

@joantabb

I took the plate and gave it a good scrubbing with dawn detergent.  I also ran the Z test gcode and played with the height.  I think the combo solved my issue.  I'm 2.5 hours into a 5.5 hour print I designed in Fusion 360 and all is well so far.  Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction.
