Do I understand this right? You had two defective heatbreaks?

No. Those heatbreaks are not defective but seems like not compatible with MMU2.0. It was running fine without MMU2.0.

All of my old ones are the original heatbreak for MK2. When I upgraded to MK2.5 and MMU2.0, I was still using the old heat break TYPE. When I changed my heatbreak to MK3 TYPE problem disappeared.

MK3 inner diameter is wider than the MK2 heatbreak.

Symptoms on MK2 nozzle is filament can’t be inserted back to heatbreak after retract because it already expand. Tried those reject filaments on MK3 heatbreak and it can go in freely.

Re: Filament tip problems.

Update: No more jamming on my extruder after replacing MK2.5 heat break with MK3. Before installing the replacement, I insert all jamming tips and noticed that I can go in freely. Diameter of MK3 heatbreak is confirmed bigger than the one originally installed on my MK2.5.

My MK2.5+MMU2.0 is currently running almost 2 hours without jamming.

so now that a couple months have gone by is this still an issue for you?

No problem and was running fine when I last used it roughly more than 3 months ago. My last print on MMU2.0 was 3 pcs of Rosy the Skunk and my only issue was bleeding but no jamming. I am now currently enjoying using Palette 2.0 with P2PP plugin for Slic3r. Overall it's faster than MMU2.0. I bought Palette 2.0 because I had given up MMU2.0 back then before my heat break was not yet changed to MK3 type. Probably going to buy another printer for either one of my MMU's.

I'm planning to play around with my MMU2.0 once the MK2.5S and MMU2.0S upgrade arrive. Also going to install E3D Nozzle X at the time of upgrade.

I hope yours is running fine.

Re: Filament tip problems.

Could anyone measure the inner diameter of mk2 and mk3 heatbreaks?

Thank you.
