crackling noise plus x axis length error

I just finished assembling my prusa mk3 (bought it, life happened, didn't get it assembled until 2 years later). Calibrated fine (not perfect but pretty good, printed several of the demo files that came with the printer and it worked great. I sliced a downloaded file, upgraded my firmware and tried my first print. First thing i noticed was a random cracking/crackling sound as the x-axis moved back and forth. 65% through printing my first downloaded file, the extruder skipped over maybe an inch to the right. No drift just started making spaghetti an inch to the right. Stopped the print and tried to restart. And got check x axis length error. I've gone through misc troubleshooting. Calibration wizard, reoriented the x-axis pulley, loosened the screws on the back of the extruder assembly, cut and redid the zip ties, nothing is touching where it shouldnt. Have manually thought the settings run the x axis to both extents which it does fine but when I run the calibration wizard it heads to the left and kicks out another x axis length error. None of the adjustments have gotten the x-axis length error or the cracking sound to go away. Any hints/ideas/suggestions? Here's a video of failed x axis calibration including the crackling sounds: IMG_2956

I thoroughly lubricated everything and the noise went away. Still having X-Axis issues though. Manually moving the-X axis it hits +255.0 all the way to the right but it stops at +2.9 on the left no matter what I do. There's enough give in the belt that i can skip it over 1 full belt tooth the the left which might be enough for the 2.9 but the motor doesn't want to move further. It's still limited to 2.9 and 255 regardless of position. I've looked at it from every angle with a flashlight and nothing is obstructing the assembly on the left.

belts or pulleys are too loose

download and print the PETG (only) belt tension meter
