Bundled Models Poorly Prepared
Having just assembled my Mk3S I thought I'd try one of the bundled models. I chose the Whistle as this is quite small so wouldn't be too wasteful if there was a problem. The result wasn't too bad but looking inside the whistle I could see that the bridging had failed badly, although it later recovered. Looking at the model in more detail I could see that it hadn't been sliced for a Mk3S and that the bridging was set to be along the length of the whistle rather than across it. I tweaked the settings in Slic3rPE and it printed much better.
It gives a bad impression when the supplied models don't print well and this could clearly be improved.

Just took a look at the bundled gcode, and it's definitely using different settings than the current recommended defaults. It was sliced using Slic3rPE 1.39.2-rc from May of 2018. Jerk XY are set to 10 and I'm sure some other settings are sub-optimal. It's easy enough to generate batches of gcode using Slic3rPE's command line interface. Prusa should consider including this as part of their normal software build process.

I agree, and that was my point really. Prusa should ship models prepared for the printer they are supplying to give the best user experience. Its in their own interest to do so, so it seems mad that they don't.
